Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Navigate to the Export Tool

From your Text In Church dashboard, head to the Tools section on the left-hand side.

Then click on Export People.

Option 1: Export Text Messages

If you want to export your message history:

  1. Scroll to the Text Messages section.

  2. Click the blue “Export” button.

  3. That’s it! The system will automatically queue the export and send it to your email as a downloadable CSV file.

Option 2: Export Member Data

To export contact info for people in your database:

  1. Scroll to the top section under "People Data."

  2. Select a group (or all contacts) you want to export.

  3. Choose the type of export:

    • Basic Fields – Includes first name, last name, address, and group info.

    • Select Fields – Allows you to pick from all available contact data (email, phone, birthday, tags, etc.).

  4. Click the blue “Export” button.

  5. You’ll see a pop-up confirming: “Your export is queued. We will send you an email shortly with your data as a CSV file.”

📩 The file will be emailed to the address associated with your Text In Church user account.

Helpful Tips

  • The exported file will be in CSV format, which you can open with Excel, Google Sheets, or most spreadsheet tools.

  • If you don’t see the email right away, check your spam or promotions folder.

  • Need to re-export later? Just follow the same steps again—exports are always in demand.

Whether you’re prepping for a mailing, updating your church CRM, or reviewing communication history, Text In Church makes it easy to keep your people data organized and accessible.
