🙌 Whether it’s reaching out to a new guest, reminding a volunteer, or preparing for an event, tasks make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Here’s how to create a new task:

1. Go to the Task Section

  • From your dashboard, open the Tasks section.

  • Make sure you’ve already set up your categories (see our guide on creating task categories).

2. Add a New Task

  • Click Add New.

  • Fill out the details for your task:

    • Task Title: Example: “Contact New Member”

    • Assign To: Choose yourself or another team member with a Text In Church login đŸ‘€

    • Category: Select the appropriate task category (e.g., “New Member Follow-Up”)

    • Priority Level: Mark as High, Medium, or Low đŸ”ș

    • Due Date: Choose when the task should be completed 📅

    • Reminder: (Optional) Add a reminder note or message for extra clarity

3. Save Your Task

  • Once created, the task will appear in your task list.

  • You’ll be notified of the task according to the settings you chose.

4. Pro Tip: Use Automated Workflows for Tasks

  • You can also automate tasks as part of an Automated Workflow (for example, creating a task to call a guest after their first visit).

  • This ensures no follow-up is missed. (See our separate guide on adding tasks to Automated Workflow.)

🙌 Why Use Tasks?

Tasks help you:

  • Stay consistent with follow-up

  • Assign responsibility clearly across your team

  • Keep ministry organized and personal

By using tasks, you’ll empower your team to serve intentionally—making sure every guest and member feels known, noticed, and loved. 💙
