Tasks in Text In Church help you and your team stay organized with personal follow-up and action steps. 🙌

Here’s how to set up a new task category:

1. Navigate to the Task Section

  • From your dashboard, go to the Tasks section.

  • Click on the Categories button.

2. Create a New Category

  • Click New Category.

  • Choose a color for your category (this helps you quickly recognize it later). 🎨

  • Give your category a name. Examples:

    • “New Member Follow-Up”

    • “Prayer Requests”

    • “Volunteer Reminders”

    • “Event Prep”

3. Save Your Category

  • Once you’ve added your name and chosen a color, click the checkmark to save. ✔️

  • Your new category is now ready to use!

🙌 Why Categories Matter

Task categories make it easy to:

  • Stay organized across multiple ministries

  • Prioritize different types of follow-up

  • Ensure nothing slips through the cracks

For example, a “New Member Follow-Up” category helps your team focus on connecting with guests, while an “Event Prep” category keeps things streamlined in the lead-up to big weekends.

By creating task categories, you’ll simplify your systems and empower your team to serve with clarity—so every guest and member feels known, noticed, and loved. 💙
