How to Pause an Automated Workflow

Life happens—sometimes you need to step away for a bit. Maybe you’re headed on vacation 🏖️ or simply want to pause communication for a short season. Instead of deactivating your entire workflow,Text In Church gives you the option to pause it.

Here’s how:

1. Open Your Automated Workflow

  • Navigate to the workflow you’d like to pause.

2. Click Pause

  • At the top of the workflow screen, click the Pause button.

3. Select Your Dates

  • Choose the dates you’ll be away.

  • During this time, the workflow will not send any messages.

4. Resume Automatically

  • Once your selected dates are over, the workflow will automatically resume.

  • You don’t need to turn anything back on—it picks up right where it left off. 🙌

🎯 Why Use Pause Instead of Deactivate?

  • Pause = temporary stop (no extra work later).

  • Deactivate = shuts the workflow down completely (you’d need to reactivate it manually).

Pausing keeps things simple and ensures your Automated Workflows continue smoothly once you return.

By using the pause feature, you can rest easy while you’re away—knowing your communication won’t accidentally send at the wrong time, and everything will start back up when you’re ready. 💙
