Automated workflows in Text In Church are a powerful way to stay connected without adding more to your plate. But sometimes, you may not need every step of a Automated Workflow to run right away.

That’s where the active/inactive toggle comes in! 🎉

Here’s how to manage your steps:

✅ Active Steps

  • When a workflow step is active, it will appear green.

  • This means the step is ready to go and will send as scheduled.

⛔ Inactive Steps

  • If you want to skip or pause a step, you can make it inactive.

  • Inactive steps will appear red, letting you know they won’t run until you reactivate them.

🔄 How to Toggle Steps On or Off

  1. Open Your Workflow

    • Head to the workflow where you want to adjust steps.

  2. Use the Toggle Switch

    • At the top of each step, you’ll see a switch.

    • Flip it off to make the step inactive (it will turn red).

  3. Click the Status Dot

    • Another quick way is to click the green dot on a step.

    • It will switch to red (inactive). Click again to turn it back on.

  4. Reactivate Anytime

    • When you’re ready, simply click the dot or toggle the switch back on.

    • The step will turn green again and become active.

💡 Pro Tip

Inactive steps are great for seasonal messages, gifts that aren’t ready, or steps you’re still editing. This way, your Automated Workflow can stay organized without accidentally sending something you’re not ready for.

By learning how to turn steps on and off, you’ll have more control over your Automated Workflow—helping you keep your communication intentional, timely, and stress-free. 🙌
