Connect Cards.
These digital cards are more than just forms—they’re your first step toward building meaningful relationships. Whether you’re collecting guest info, updating member records, or gathering RSVPs, Connect Cards help make people feel known, noticed, and loved.
📋 Step 1: Create a Connect Card (The Easy Way)
Start by heading to the “Connect” > “Cards” section in your dashboard.
Choose a Template
You’ll see a library of pre-built Connect Card templates and an option to build from scratch. For this training, we’ll use a template called “Update Your Info”.
Why this one? Because it’s great for reconnecting with regular attenders and members, especially if you want to gather fresh details like mailing addresses and birthdays.
✍️ Step 2: Customize Your Connect Card
Once you've selected your template, you can make it your own:
Change the title, headline, and description
Upload your church logo, update background colors, or even embed a welcome video
Add or edit questions like name, phone, address, and more
Use multi-step format for longer forms (best if you have 5+ questions)
Use standard format for shorter forms
💡 Pro Tip: You can reorder questions with drag-and-drop and edit any question by clicking the three dots next to it.
🔗 Step 3: Connect It to a Group or Keyword
Once your card looks great, it’s time to connect it to the rest of your communication strategy.
You can:
Link the card to a group (like your All Church group)
Create a keyword (ex: Have people text “HOME” to your number during service)
For example:
“We’d love to update our records. Please text HOME to our church number and fill out the quick form.”
This creates a seamless experience: a simple text triggers the Connect Card, and the responses land exactly where you need them.
📲 Step 4: Set an Automated Confirmation Message
Once someone fills out the form, follow up with a warm automated reply.
Here’s a sample message:
Hi {First Name}, thanks for updating your info! 🎉 You’re now entered to win a $5 coffee gift card. Just our way of saying thanks! You can use this moment to:
Celebrate their next step
Add fun incentives (like a gift card giveaway)
Reaffirm their connection to your church
👥 Step 5: Add a Staff Notification (Optional)
If you want to keep your team in the loop, you can enable staff notifications to let them know a form was filled out.
Options include:
Email notification – includes ALL Connect Card details
Text notification – sends a quick alert with name, phone, and email
🔒 Only users and admins can receive these alerts. If you want a non-admin to be notified, build it into an automated workflow (covered in a later session).
