Hereâs an overview of all the step types you can add to your Automated Workflow:
âïž Send an Email
Create a personalized email message.
Great for sharing resources, event reminders, or ongoing encouragement.
đ± Send a Text Message
Send quick, direct communication that lands right in someoneâs pocket.
Perfect for reminders, welcomes, or short updates.
đ©âđ» Staff Reminders (Email or Text)
Notify your staff or volunteers about a guest or task.
Example: âFollow up with John who visited this Sunday.â
Use this option if your staff member does not have a Text In Church login.
đ Send a Webhook
For tech-savvy users, a webhook connects Text In Church with other apps.
Example: Automatically push guest information into another system.
â Add to Group
Move a person into another group within your account.
Example: Add a first-time guest to a New Member Class group.
â Remove from Group
Remove a person from a group once their process is complete.
â ïž Important: This step should always be the last step in a Automated Workflow.
If you remove someone too early, theyâll stop receiving the remaining steps in that Automated Workflow.
â Create a Task
Assign a follow-up task to a team member.
Tasks are visible within the Text In Church account, so the assignee must have a login.
Example: âCall Sarah to personally invite her to the small group.â
(If your staff member doesnât have a login, use a staff reminder email/text instead.)
đ Why These Steps Matter
With these options, you can:
Automate guest follow-up without losing the personal touch
Keep staff and volunteers in the loop with reminders or tasks
Seamlessly move people through your ministry process
By combining the right steps, youâll create a smooth communication journey that ensures no one falls through the cracksâand helps every guest feel known, noticed, and loved. đ
