For your Website

Getting Started

To create a Connect Widget, head to your Text In Church dashboard and navigate to Connect > Widgets. Any widgets you've already created will appear here. To build a new one, click the Add New button.

Step 1: Name Your Widget

Give your widget a clear, descriptive name so you can easily identify it later. For example, if you're creating one to help guests plan a visit, you might name it something like "Get More Guests Assistant." Click the checkmark to save your name. You can always rename it later by clicking the pencil icon.

Step 2: Style & Customize

This is where you make the widget your own. You can adjust:

  • Colors — Match your church's branding

  • Logo — Add your church logo

  • Headline & Description — Add a welcoming message, such as "Welcome — We'd love to connect!"

Step 3: Add Your Connect Cards

Click Next to choose which Connect Cards will appear in your widget. You can add multiple Connect Cards by clicking Add a Connect Card. Once selected, each card will automatically appear as a clickable button within the widget. For example, a "Plan a Visit" Connect Card will give guests a simple, one-click way to take that next step.

Step 4: Choose How It Appears on Your Website

This is where things get fun! Text In Church gives you several display options to fit your website's style and goals:

  • Chat Bubble — Pops up in the bottom corner of your site (left or right). Fully customizable — you choose what it says, like "Ready to plan your visit?"

  • Sticky Button — Similar to a chat bubble, but also displays social proof, such as "10 people have recently planned a visit." Great for building trust with new guests.

  • Sticky Banner — Appears at the top or bottom of the page as a full-width banner with a call-to-action button.

  • Timed Pop-Up — Appears after a set number of seconds. Perfect for promoting events, with options for a date timer or countdown to create urgency.

  • Button Click — Triggers the widget when a visitor clicks a specific button on your page.

  • Landing Page — Displays your Connect Card on a dedicated standalone page.

You're All Set!

Once you've chosen your display style and configured your settings, your Connect Widget is ready to go.
