Creating a Plan for User Access

Text In Church has two user roles: Admin (full access) and User (limited access). For users with limited access, you can customize exactly what they can see and do.

How to manage permissions

Go to Settings > Users, find the user, and click the three-dot menu. Select Manage Permissions.

Permission levels

Each module in Text In Church can be set to one of four levels:

  • No Access

  • View Only

  • View & Modify

  • View, Modify & Delete

Things to consider before setting permissions

Before adjusting a user's permissions, think through how they'll use Text In Church:

  • Financial secretary -- consider enabling access to billing and payment data

  • Ministry leader -- you can limit group access to only the groups they oversee

  • Connect card manager -- grant View & Modify access to connect cards

  • Workflow manager -- grant View & Modify access to workflows

  • Highly trusted staff -- View, Modify & Delete across all modules

For phone lines, you can grant access to a single line or all numbers. For Groups, you can select all Groups or specific ones. There's a lot of flexibility, so tailor it to the role.
